Surf City - The Leisure Pool at Ponds Forge has recently undergone a variety of works...
• The pool and flumes have had some retiling works and redecoration.
• The toddler pool has had some new features and a new slide. This area is for under 8's who must be accompanied by an adult. Older brothers, sisters and friends are welcome but we do ask that everyone considers the little ones in this area.
• The unisex changing village has gone!
• We now have seperate male and female changing areas, 6 family changing rooms with baby change benches and toddler seats as well as 2 accessible changing rooms.
• Male and female changing rooms have... - Some private cubicles - Communal change areas - Showers - Baby change bench and toddler seat - Toilets - one which is children's size! - Lockers - £1 coin refund system (attach key strap and tuck key in safely before entering the water)
• Family changing rooms have baby change units and toddler seats with a nappy bin located outside. A unisex toilet is close by for easier loo access from this area.
• We have 2 new accessible (disabled) changing rooms. One has standard toilet and shower facilities with space for 2 people. The other room is larger and equipped to a higher standard with hoist and adjustable changing bench in response to the Changing Places Campaign (www.changing-places.org).
