Sheffield divers Monique Gladding and Megan Sylvester are heading for China in the next few days to compete in the 2010 FINA World Series. Britain’s leading platform synchro pairing are hoping to emulate the success of Nick Robinson-Baker and Ben Swain in this prestigious International event.

Training at Ponds Forge, Monique and Megan have both recently shaken off injuries that prevented them from competing in the British Championships at the beginning of February. Plunging in perfect symmetry from the 10 metre platform during training this week, they are showing terrific form going into the competition.

The FINA World Diving Series takes place over 3 legs in Qingdao, China on March 27/28, Veracruz, Mexico on April 16/17 with final leg at Ponds Forge, Sheffield on April 23/24. Tickets for the Sheffield event featuring all the best divers in the world are now on sale.
