| Ponds Forge launches new wwway to work out |
Sheffield-based Ponds Forge International Sports Centre has launched a new website dedicated to keeping the people of Sheffield informed about the progress of its exciting refurbishment. In addition to featuring updates on the multimillion-pound investment at the Sheffield International Venues facility, www.workitoutforyourself.com also includes information about the state-of-the-art personal key system equipment for the new bigger and better Fitness Unlimited gym. The transformation will provide the people of Sheffield with a bigger, air conditioned high tech gym, two dedicated, spacious exercise studios, an improved members only spa area and treatment rooms all serviced by brand new ‘members’ changing rooms. The new website will also include artist’s impressions of the new facilities and a video fly-through of the gym which gives a virtual tour. General manager Helen Broadbent said: “The investment and redevelopment of Ponds Forge is significant and we want to ensure that centre users are kept up to date with the refurbishment and become familiar with the new facilities. “But people should sign up now as we expect to get extremely busy in the coming months.” The centre will remain functional throughout the refurbishment process, allowing the public to access Ponds Forge’s existing sport and fitness facilities. The current gym, housed in the venue’s foyer will be accessible throughout the construction period to both Fitness Unlimited members and pay as you go customers, as well as use of an additional CV gym in the Studio. The venue’s leisure pool will be temporarily closed through to March 2008 for upgrading and redecoration but the centre’s 50 metre Olympic size pool remains open throughout the work. |
