2005 was witness to the very first World Water Bombing Championships, where seventeen companies from across the country took the plunge in the Championships, here at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre.
Teams of four from businesses, hosts Sheffield International Venues and Irwin Mitchell made a splash with the judges in the first ever year of the competition raising in excess of £7,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support's £1m charity appeal.
With an elite diving display, post event presentation and plenty of support from the crowd, this fun event provided great opportunities for all involved.
Teams from across South Yorkshire and further afield signed up to take part in the competition and prizes were awarded to the "best water bombing team", the "best team member", and the "most stylish entry'.
The World Water Bombing Championship has become a tremendous annual event that raises funds for Macmillan Cancer Support to help people living with cancer and their families.
