The Mix & Mingle ultimate frisbee competition.
Ultimate frisbee is a fast-paced, high-intensity team sport, played with a flying disc. Combining many features from sports such as Netball, Basketball and American Football, a team scores a point by moving the disc between players until it is caught in the opponents endzone.
The main difference between Ultimate and other sports is that it is completely self-refereed. The players on the pitch are responsible for making their own foul and line calls and resolving disputes under what is known as the Spirit of the Game.
Mix & Mingle is a 80's themed party tournament packed with competitive Ultimate and 80s fun! 24 teams compete over the weekend. There will be music played throughout the weekend! It's a mixed tournament, each 5-a-side team must play with the same ratio of males and females, in a 3:2 split. A range of teams coming from around the country (London to Newcastle to Aberystwyth) for the two day competition.
