Swimming Lesson Kid's Swim Free!* - Children learning to swim in stages 1-6 at Ponds Forge can swim for free at the centre for as long as they remain on the swimming lesson scheme. Any child who has passed stage 6 on the scheme is also eligible for free swimming at Ponds Forge until their 13th birthday.


Learn to swim and have fun! Our small lesson groups enable children from 5 to 15 years old to develop their water confidence and swimming ability, while having fun at the same time. As we are the largest and most established swimming centre in Sheffield it means that children can continue into swim squads, diving or lifeguarding!

Our swimming lessons are taught by qualified asa teachers who follow the asa National Plan for swimming.

Monday, Wednesday or Friday*: 4.15pm - 4.55pm, 4.55pm - 5.35pm or 5.35pm - 6.15pm
Saturday or Sunday: 9.10am - 9.50am, 9.50am - 10.30am, 5.20pm - 6.00pm or 6.00pm - 6.40pm
